The documentary film about Tibetan girls breaking social boundaries and those of sports has its premiere in Shakta Joogakoulu in January!

Kicking Boundaries is not only a movie, but also a unique social project. The name of the film refers to the situation the Tibetan girls face when living in asylum in India. They want to break social boundaries and represent themselves and their home country in a peaceful protest. Football has become a tool for the girls to bring out their thoughts and win the challenges of the life in asylum. The movie takes a look into the history of Tibet and shows how the asylum in India has affected the life of the community.

The movie project has also received help from Finland. Miska Käppi, who teaches yoga at Shakta Joogakoulu, has composed music for the film and participated in the making of the We Are United album, which has been released alongside the film.
